UAB believes that training in foreign languages is a vital part of education in general. We therefore provide you with various facilities for learning a wide range of languages. You can improve and perfect the languages you already know and learn new ones through our centres coordinated by the UAB Languages Service.

a) Training and certification in the Catalan Language
Four main areas: language training in specific subjects, Catalan as a first language, Catalan as a foreign language and specific courses.

b) Training in English, German, French, Italian, Japanese and Spanish for foreigners
All the courses lead to a certificate corresponding to an official level within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

For basic, foundation, intermediate, competence and advanced courses, students are awarded a certificate approved by all the public universities in Catalonia and the Generalitat for civil-service work.
Free-choice credits are available for the courses.
