The library has 9 individual work booths located on the Research Personnel Room on floor 0 (map). These booths must be used by UAB graduate, masters and PhD students, lecturers and research grantholders. 7 individual work booths have a computer (with office sofware and Internet access) and 2 booths have wireless access with cable. If you want to use one of these booths, request it at the library concierge desk on floor 0.
At the library you have 2 booths located on floor 0 (map): 1 booth for visually impaired users and 1 booth for users with reduced mobility. You can ask for use them at the library concierge desk on floor 0.
The library has 7 work rooms for groups at your disposal, located on floor -1 and floor -2:
Rooms are available from 9am to 8.30pm. If you want to use one of these booths, request it at the library concierge desk on floor 0.
Hours of opening are the same as the UAB Study Room. To use one of these, fill in the request form on lending desk on floor -2. However, during exam periods, the rooms can be left open in order to encourage their maximum use.
Free access room located on floor -1 (map).
The UAB Study Room is located on the two underground floors (-2 and -3) of the Social Sciences Library. It is open 24 hours a day (except for special restricted opening times), because these spaces are turned into study room at night (9 pm to 9 am), public holidays and weekends.
