It is very easy to register for the PhD. All you have to do is meet for orientation with the PhD coordinator in the Department, and then register by following the guidelines below:

Below you will find information on how to register for the new PhD studies adapted to the EAHE. Visit also our PhD Registration Handbook.

You must register at the Graduate School no later than a month after the date of admission. Once registered, you will become a PhD student at the UAB.

If payment is past due, you will be charged for the amount established by the UAB Council to be published in the online registration site (only available in catalan), plus 6 per thousand of the total amount due for bank return fees. (minimum 0'60 ¤).

For every academic year after admission, you must register in October.

Registration fees include (2011-2012):

  • Price of registration: 381 ¤
  • Registration and file management fee: 66,30 ¤
  • Services specific and of support to the learning: 70 ¤
  • School insurance, if applicable: 1,12 ¤
  • Foreign degree equivalency fee, if applicable: 207,20 ¤
  • Additional complementary credits, if applicable. You must register for and complete these credits during the academic year of admission.
     
    If you have been granted a scholarship, waivers will be applied according to the conditions of the scholarships.
     
  • Other optional services at the UAB:

    Sports Activities (SAF):

    Registration for sports activities (SAF) may be done together with registration for the programme (except for those students who are already SAF members, new students and students who have a lease with the Vila Universitària) and the cost is 75 Euros. Monthly fees will be charged by SAF by bank debit. To get your SAF membership card, you must stop by the SAF office before Dec. 31. You must submit proof of registration and your bank account details. If you wish to cancel your membership after registration, the 75 Euros fee will not be reimbursed.

    Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS):

    You may volunteer to support developing and cooperation activities.

Documents to be submitted for registration :

◊ If your degree is from a Spanish university:

  • Certified copy of your undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and your official Master.
  • Undergraduate (or equivalent) and official transcripts or certified copies .
  • Copy of your DNI or passport.
  • Two passport-size pictures.

◊ If you hold a degree from a foreign university:

  • Certified and legalized copy of your undergraduate and Master’s degrees (except for EU countries).
  • Transcript or certified and legalized copy of your undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and Master’s degree (except for EU countries).
  • Copy of your DNI, NIE or passport.
  • Two passport-size pictures
