The Creative Documentary Master is a pioneer in the area of documentary-making education within the revolution this sector has experienced in the last few years. It is considered one of the most prestigious Masters in audio-visual studies offered in Spain, and during the last editions, its theoretical-practical methodology has proven to be one of the most effective and reliable.

The creators of the idea, Josetxo Cerdán and Josep María Català, under the guidance of renowned professor Román Gubern and documentary film director Gonzalo Herralde, bring with them a wide range of academic experience in the area of Master studies, marked by their multiple publications and participation in numerous academic congresses and events, as well as those related to the film and documentary industry.

This Master offers an extensive faculty of well-known university professors representing the different angles from which the documentary phenomenon is studied, as well as a cast of professionals with excellent reputations who are in charge of practices and production processes. All this guaranteed by the international recognition of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

In its years of existence, it has helped train, in both theory and practice, a new generation of film makers who are conscious of the valuable historic legacy of non-fiction film, its creative possibilities and the challenge and commitment involved in presenting reality.

Furthermore, it has been a production platform from which more than fifty original documentaries, characterized by their diversity of conceptual, aesthetic and thematic questions, were launched. This work has been co-produced with different television and production companies - Media Park, BarcelonaTV, Televisió de Catalunya, LocaliaCatalunya-and with the criteria of quality and interestin mind for an audience looking for new audio -visual propositions and critical thinking opportunitiesinandoutsideof television.

Hold a degree of at least 180 ECTS or equivalent. from the different areas of communication, arts, and humanities.
