The current situation of the job market and the approach some citizens take regarding quality training for professional development sometimes results in a contradictory relation.
Production companies requirements and services can only be satisfied if they have workers who can develop specific competencies. Likewise, they may have the opportunity to choose the best fitting from the qualified, specialized and technical work force available.
On the other side of the contradiction, there are men and women, younger and adult, who have not had the opportunity to acquire pertinent cognitive, connative and affective competencies to perform as their jobs require.
In addition, at the basis of this contradiction is the current world situation subject to a continuous occupational back and forth, living under permanent change, with professions and jobs constantly being born and disappearing.
Not too long ago, society did not have to worry about a person's acquired competencies, who having achieved the proper sufficiency level within a professional profile, could rely on them for his or her entire professional life.
Today, nobody can ensure that the competencies developed by a qualified worker, university graduate, etc. will be valid in the short, medium or long term.
We must find the solution to this situation in several fronts, one of which is training, occupational training understood as the initial preparation to have access to a job, and other occupational training aimed at keeping a job through continuous updating.
We refer to the first case as Initial Occupational Training, and in the second Continuing Education. Both, however, fall under Professional Training unregulated by the education system. This is the main difference with jobtrainingofferedinregulatedformaltrainingleadingtoadegree. Therefore, thiscourseisgearedtowardspeoplewhowishtoworkasprofessionaloccupationalcoaches, trainingpeopleinthetoolsandskills first, and task proficiency and competencies later. In spite of this, and so as to be coherent, these professionals are not exempt from continuing education. This means that the objectives of this course must be completed with other training that meets the principles of continuing education.
University degree with minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent, and have experience or be interested in Teacher Training in the area of occupational training.
Teacher trainers carry out training in the headquarters of training companies and institutions. It is important to note that these professionals come from different training backgrounds; on the one hand there are trainers with specific training functions - course providers - and on the other, training professionals who also carry out management and coordination tasks in training courses and programmes, coordinate teams, innovation and research projects, among which are the teacher trainer courses.
