Master in Science and Welfare of Laboratory Animals
This programme has been designed to offer specialist training in accordance with prevailing legislation for the protection of laboratory animals.
The programme follows the European directives of the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Association (FELASA) and has received accreditation from that organisation since 2003.
It covers the training need of categories D1 and D2 in accordance with the Royal Decree 1201/2005 and Decree 214/1997 of the Generalitat de Catalunya that refer to Assessors of Animal Welfare.

Programme aimed at specialized staff in laboratory animal science, who Catalan legislation designates as animal welfare consultant. This is a mandatory member of all ethical committees on animal experimentation.
