Today, remotesensing techniques and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are essential to study the Earth and manage its resources.

They have become the key technology for collecting, storing and analyzing space data.

This central role is not only present in the academic world but we perceive it in multiple fields. Industries which make use of this space technology include agriculture, forestry, mining, marketing, environmental analysis, as well as medicine and social sciences.

Focused on students with a degree, interested in the fundamentals and applications of remote sensing and GIS (geographers, biologists, environmental scientists, physicists, geodesists, geologists, topographers, engineers in different specializations, etc.)

- Graduates of the Master programme can apply techniques and skills in different areas such as agriculture, archaeology, ecology, forestry, geography, geology, meteorology and oceanography, and in more specific areas such as urban and land planning, hydrologic resources, environmental analysis and management, transportation review and planning.

- They are also applicable in private companies, specially logistics and environmental consulting, geo-physics exploration (such as mining or the oil industry).

- Research applicable to Remote Sensing, developing new systems such as sensors or improvements in digital image processing and viewing techniques.

- Research in space analysis, from the algorithmic and applicable approach.
