The master in Human Reproductive Medicine it's an educational and professional program in reproductive medicine. The changes of lifestyle in the occidental world have provoked a very considerable increase of the sterility as well as the number of assisted reproduction techniques. Approximately 20% of the couples will have a problem of infertility due to feminine motives, 40% to masculine motives and 20% for mixed causes.

One of the more significant causes of sterility, in occidental countries it's the delay of the conception on the part of the men and women, which is directly related with the likelihood of pregnancy. Sterility treatment is based on a specific therapeutic depending on the diagnosis, and fundamentalment in the techniques of assisted reproduction, which they require a very high training and qualification.

In accordance with the Spanish Society of Fertility there are in Spain 190 Centers of Assisted Reproduction authorized by the Ministry of Health. Specifically Barcelona has the 15% of the total.

The field of the Human reproduction is the area of the gynaecology and of the biology where more is published in magazines of IF in these last decades. All magazines of human reproduction are placed almost in the first quartile of the speciality.

University degree in Medicine, Biology or Nursing with minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent.

- Students will have knowledge of assisted human reproduction techniques in the context of a human reproduction centre or unit. Currently, the application of these techniques represents a significant advance in the specialist area that will lead to improved patient treatment.

- Students will be given greater competence in methodological, research and communication procedures.

- Students will have greater opportunities for finding work as specialists in reproduction in hospitals, sterility units and assisted reproduction centres.
