Description

The University Nursing School at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau through the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has been offering a postgraduate course Oncological Nursing for seven years, giving it a tradition and expertise in the area of specific training of professionals in the care of people with oncological illnesses.

It is a great challenge for us to adapt the programme to the new EHEA to guarantee quality training for students as well as meeting the new demand for specific health training for this kind of illness.

This is an exciting challenge for all those involved and one that we take on with responsibility and respect to be able to continue to make a contribution to Catalonia , Spain and Europe and offer responses to their needs within the context of oncological nursing in relation to promoting better health, illness prevention, early diagnosis, diagnosis treatment and palliative care for oncological illnesses.

Career opportunities

- Form part of teams in the oncology service: hospitalisation units, day hospitals, outpatients, etc.

- Lead nursing care as a key figure in all stages of the oncological process (primary, secondary, tertiary care, etc.)
- Manage the continuity of care throughout the course of the illness.

- Lead consultations of the Genetic Council.
