Description

The Master in Audiovisual Translation, both its onsite and online versions, is considered by the European Union as the most prestigious, according to the Final Report of 14 November, 2007 of the Study on Dubbing and Subtitling Needs and Practices in the European Audiovisual Industry.

Each Master develops its own characteristics because of its format and faculty availability, and in particular for the online version, because of the cost of developing digital material to be used interactively online.

This online Master has trained audiovisual translators for the last five editions, not only in traditional techniques (dubbing and subtitling), but also in increasingly more common methods such as voiceover, audio description, subtitles for the hearing impaired, or translation of video games, among others, all over a theoretical and methodological basis.

These different methods are applicable to a wide range of products such as film, TV series, cartoons, reports or documentaries. This programme prepares students to work as free-lancers or as permanent staff in different areas of audiovisual translation.

Admission requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation, Philology and related fields
- Other degrees with proven experience in translation
