Description

This program is the heir to three previous initiatives from the Catalan Philology Department , which through a strategic alliance with the Educational Sciences Faculty, the Consortium for Linguistic Normalization and the Ramon Llull Institute, aims to relaunch a solid graduate offer in an area as crucial as Catalan teaching staff training as L2 (either foreign or additional). These initiatives are the following:

- The Graduate Certificate in Catalan as a second language and foreign language training (22 cr).

- The university Master in Catalan and Spanish as foreign languages (60+60 ECTS), that was to be offered for the first time in 2007-2008.

- The specialization course in Catalan as a foreign language: tools and strategies (30 hr), abridged version of the above mentioned graduate certificate, which has been offered every July since 2005 with great success.

Admission requirements

University degree with minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent provided the applicant submits a certificate of advanced proficiency in Catalan language.
