We offer a high quality Masters degree organised and taught jointly by the Law Faculty of the UAB and the professional Law Societies: Law Society of Barcelona, Law Society of Granollers, Law Society of Manresa, Law Society of Mataró, Law Society of Sabadell and Law Society of Terrassa.

The degree is recognised by the Council of Law Societies of Catalonia and the General Council of Spanish Lawyers.

You will prepare for the Diploma of Professional Aptitude (DAP) - a qualification awarded by the Council of Law Societies of Catalonia and the General Council of Spanish Lawyers, which enables entry into the legal aid scheme and assistance to the detainee, as long as the other established requirements are fulfilled. The DAP exam is taken in the month of November and the fee is included in the price of the Master's degree.

This is a broad ranging collaboration offering the best training for lawyers and guaranteeing work placements in some of the best law firms in the catchment areas of the Law Societies mentioned above, all of which have different profiles and specialities which can be matched to the interests of the students.

This Masters degree requires 30 credits to be obtained in work placements (500 hours) which corresponds to three intensive months in a professional law firm (June, July and September) and complementary practical activities two mornings a week during the rest of the course (courts, legal aid scheme, councils, notary public offices, prisons, companies, official institutions, etc.) 10 credits correspond to the final Masters project.

The course begins in November 2011 and ends in November 2012, including preparation for the DAP exam in November.
