Mobility is a set of displacements which people or goods have to make for reasons of work, training, health, culture, leisure or any other reason. From this situation understanding mobility is necessary for dealing with risk factors beyond simple responsibility in road traffic accidents.

It is in Spain's major cities and metropolitan areas that the main problems associated with mobility occur: congestion, accidents, pollution, parking and priority for car circulation, continuous barriers to pedestrian accessibility, lack of infrastructure for non-motorised models together with a particularly poor offer of surface public transport models. All of these circumstances show that there has been little planning for the achievement of sustainable and safe mobility.

Statistics are also demonstrating that one of the most important problems is the increase in accidents involving the use of vehicles in all professional activities or in the journey to work or the workplace.

In order to provide a global response to this problem it is necessary to introduce prevention policies from a social, business (Catalan centres with more than 500 workers have to carry out evaluations of the mobility they generate) and individual.

Thus is a theoretical/practical programme of an instrumental nature that aims to introduce students to the necessary methods and techniques for understanding, investigating and drawing up proposals for intervention.

Graduates in Integral Prevention and Security, University Diploma-holders or Degree holders in subjects related to prevention and security such as:
- Members of the Public Administration with competences in this area.
- Members of public companies or private companies issuing public qualifications, which could be involved in mobility planning and road safety.

- Prevention and Risk Managers
- Labour Risk Specialists
- Managers in Public Administrations (local, autonomous, central) responsible for this area
- Managers of Company Mobility Plans
- Managers of Urban Mobility Plans
