Description

In 1996, the Expert Committee in Human Resources Training of the Social Welfare Department of the Generalitat created a document that included the agreement (10/19/95) defining the general and minimum functions to be achieved by the director of a nursing home and the minimal programme content for specialized complementary training.

The ISPA collaborated with the Department of Family Welfare from 2000 to 2004 and provided training in management of geriatric centers, in accordance with the transitional provision of approval of the directors who had no qualifications but had experience.

Since 2004, this has been undertaking postgraduate in order to provide elements of management, administration and optimization of human resources and medical knowledge, psychological and social gerontology to train professionally for adequate planning, organization and utilization of available resources in elderly care in view of the highest quality.

The ISPA has designed a programme that fits the requirements of government providing its own experience of many years renovating offers educational programs and adapting to the needs of the sector.
