Even though in recent decades, apart from the efficiency of prevention policy, there have been therapeutical advances that have substantially modified life expectancy, traumatic injury continues to be a major cause of death in the west, and also the cause of serious and sometimes permanent consequences.
Reducing the death rate depends to a large extent on receiving immediate, high level treatment in situ, care during the transport and transfer of the patient and also the capacity for the receiving hospital and the qualification of the prehospital and hospital teams.
- University degree with minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent.
