The graduate certificate in Tropical Medicine, International Cooperation and Medical Geography is a formative project for professionals with qualifications in health areas (medicine, biology, pharmacy, infirmary, nutrition, etc) that want to dedicate themselves to the international cooperation and only need a complementary training of short duration that allows them to work at the same time.

Those professionals are willing to work with ONGs, help to the development in health institutions and organizations and identification, treatment and control of the illnesses international health centers with more prevalence in the tropical geography and those confined in the countries of low rent and the so called 'fourth world'.

This program is a specialization that intends to give a formative support to the health and life professionals that want to dedicate themselves to international cooperationor by staying in services of health and giving support to the health system of these tropical and subtropical countries, working in the formative, advice and orientation tasks areas of these services and systems.

The international organizations and institutions orient to strengthen the health systems of the developing countries through the funding of agile and effective structures, and not only in the fight against illnesses or specific programs. It's here when persons with a suitable training to the centers, services or health organizations are most needed, and it's in this sense where ONGs and international cooperation institutions make their recruitment offers. To answer this demand we propose this specific training.

This training becomes heir of the Master in International Health and Tropical Medicine that has already granted 24 editions of graduates with about 2.000 pupils with an origin of 21 countries. Manyofourex-pupilsareworkingnowininstitutionsandorganizationsinthereviewedareas,aswellasinthecooperationandintheimmigrationand traveller attention services.

Beeing a program with a professional orientation, the student acquires basic training in all those necessary aspects and subjects to work in sanitary cooperation and in the immigration and traveller's attention.

For this reason, together with a training divided into the sections of tropical pathology, international cooperation and medical geography, there is a section of ONGs presentation and the realization of practices in one of the agreed centers and a final degree's work to introduce improvements into the center in wich they have made the stay. This work has to be read before the direction of the graduate certificate.

Degree in Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary and other health sciences, and Associate degree in Nursing.

Public or private centres, services and institutions working in health cooperation in low-rent and in-crisis nations helping their health system and immigration, travelling and international vaccination programmes assistance.
