Partial Differential Equations and Applications Research Group

UAB Code: 1304
Coordinator: José Antonio Carrillo (ICREA)

Members:

UAB: Ricardo Borges, Àngel Calsina, José Alfredo Cañizo, Sílvia Cuadrado, Xavier Mora, Carles Perelló, Jesús Rosado, Susana Serna.

Goals:

The central focus of this research group is on the analytical study of partial differential equations (PDEs) and their qualitative properties, and numerical simulation and its applications. Mathematical problems are proposed for the applications. The group is currently interested in transport equations, kinetic equations and diffusion equations applied to such a wide range of subjects as mathematical biology, population dynamics, biological evolution, fluid mechanics, charged-particle transport in semiconductor materials and plasmas.

Keywords

Analysis of models with PDEs, qualitative properties, modelling, numerical integration of PDEs.
