The UAB Library Services, as a complement to its mission to guarantee any documental information needed for the university, as an institution, to achieve its objectives (teaching, learning, investigation and university growth) has deemed it necessary to prepare and make known the Collections' Master Plan, which establishes the framework for a harmonious development of its contents. In the same manner, various general plans have been developed for the collections of each of the libraries that make up part of the UAB's Library Services. These documents are specifically addressed to the governing bodies of the different areas of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, to academic personnel and to library staff with responsibilities in developing and maintaining the UAB's library collections and, in general, to the entire university community. The purpose is to make known, to the general public, the policy followed by the UAB Library Services in regard to its documental collection. |
