One of the key aspects of EHEA is its innovation in teaching-learning systems. The training in skills and ECTS assessment represent the beginning of new teaching methods, given that studies focus on learning and competency outcomes students must acquire for their future professional career.
University teaching thus must be organised in a way that these training activities, as a whole, be carried out in an orderly, coherent and balanced manner. To do so it is first essential to identify and typify the activities in order to distribute them according to their importance.
By taking into account the degree of independence with which students will be carrying out each of these activities throughout their university studies, one can distinguish four large training activity blocks:
