Committees

The Social Council meets in plenary sessions and, if required, in committees approved by the plenary session. Among its numerous roles, it must approve: the University's annual budget and multi-annual framework; the creation or closure of university teaching centres and research centres; and the implementation and suppression of courses, whether these be official or UAB-only courses. The Council's other responsibilities include those deriving from current legislation, and programming and management responsibilities for the university's finances, budget and heritage that affect members of the university community.
