Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has designed its website to be accessible to all users. We work hard to make sure everyone can access all the information and browse correctly, regardless of whether they have any physical and sensory disabilities or do not have the latest computer technology. To achieve these objectives, we test and revise our pages, and apply the recommendations given by the Spanish charity for blind people and by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).
The UAB has currently reached the WAI's conformance level AA and offers the following browser options:
- Option to choose between three font sizes on any page: medium (size 11), large (size 13) and maximum (size 15).
- When clicking a link, the user is taken to the start of the content on the new page, skipping all irrelevant links and avoiding having to use the rest of the options in the browsing menu.
Direct access to the main browsing options. At the start of each page there are shortcuts to the browsing options: left menu, central body and right menu.
- Option to change the contrast of the page: at the top of the page you will find the option +ACI-contrast+ACI- which allows you to view the information without any background colours and the letters in black.
UAB is currently working on reaching the WAI's conformance level AAA in the near future.
